Its a lazy saturday with nuthing to do except surf the net and run off for my saturday trainings.. this is what they call bliss.. someday i will look at these halcyon days and yearn for them.. lazing around in bed till 12 in the afternoon... eating nuthin except maggi and drinkin chilled water and cold coffee...
the title of this blog is from a book i read recently.. its a travelogue by kevin rushby titled 'chasing the mountain of light'... a couple of ruffians who manhandled rushby while travelling in india kept using this phrase 'dont hurryworrycurry'..
the phrase is a reminder of how dangerous India can be for the newbie as well as the seasoned traveller.. or mayb its not just India.. maybe its other places as well.. but definitely not a s'pore or doha or dubai... wat is it about these countries that makes them uber safe for the traveller... is it the strict laws.. hasnt humanity evolved enough.. why is it that we still need a policeman to get us to behave ourselves.. i have heard a lot of people complaining about how the law and order situation in India is the pits and how we would be better off under a dictatorship.. here we are not even 100 yrs into our independence and already regretting it... sometime the very people who mouth these words are at the forefront of breaking laws... they would any day jump a queue or a signal.. they would not call these crimes.. they would instead term it street smartedness...
